Our first blend comes two ways: as a cigar, or as a spliff. Both start the same way: whole tobacco leaf, cured slow and rolled by the same hands. What goes inside is up to you.

Cannabis flower mixed with ground cigar tobacco, rolled inside a whole tobacco leaf instead of paper. Burns slower and smoother than a joint, and tastes like a cigar.

Solid wood, carved by hand, with tobacco leaves in relief across the lid. Cedar-lined, with a hygrometer and humidifier, sized to keep a box of Chovy exactly where it should be. A small run, each one a little different.

No roll required. Break up cigar tobacco and cannabis flower, mix them loose, and pack the bowl of a regular tobacco pipe. That is a sploof, and it is how we smoke the Chovy blend at the bench.
Leaf is aged until it is supple enough to roll without cracking and smooth enough to taste.
For spliffs, tobacco is ground and mixed with flower by weight, so every one smokes the same.
Each one is bunched, wrapped and capped by hand. Nothing touches a machine.
Finished smokes rest before they leave, so the wrapper settles and the draw opens up.
I wrote software for a living. Then the work went to AI, and I spent the next three years unemployed, sending out applications that never came back.
So I went out back. At the far end of my mom's yard there is a little workshop my dad built, and the sign over the door still says Dave's Workshop, 1996. That is where I rolled the first one.
Nobody was handing out jobs, so we made one. Underground Cigars started in that workshop, one leaf at a time, and the Chovy Premium Blend is the first thing to come out of it.
